Following a recent audit with UK Food Certification, Aintree Plastics are delighted to announce that we have achieved a Grade A certification for the BRCGS Standard for Packaging Materials.
Site-Wide Improvements
We have been working tremendously hard over the past few years to improve all areas of the business. This has included site-wide improvements to the facilities with additional warehousing, canteen, washroom, engineering, laboratory, and meeting rooms being built.
The whole site has been brought up to the same standard as the new facilities, and this was noted and commented on by the BRCGS auditor. The auditor has seen first hand the vast improvements over the past 12 months, as they also conducted last year’s audit on behalf of UK Food Certification.
Personnel Recruitment
In addition to this, we have also been busy with personnel recruitment, which has seen us bringing new talent in, together with supporting and developing current employees to facilitate internal promotions.
Improved Procedures & Policies
With these developments, Aintree Plastics have been able to improve our procedures and policies to increase efficiencies, and ensuring we follow Good Manufacturing Practices in-line with BRCGS requirements. All of the above have contributed to the award of the BRCGS Grade A certification. The result achieved is testament to our commitment in all areas of the business to continually monitor and improve.
It was a huge team effort, but special thanks must go to our Compliance Manager, Ethan Aaron, as Ethan has led several projects and procedural reviews, and was on-hand to demonstrate the work put in during the audit.
