made with recycled plastics

EcoExel Layer Sheets are made from low-density embossed polythene. They are anti-slip cut sheets that are supplied perforated on the roll. When used as an interleaving or base sheet on pallets, they help prevent movement and reduce risk of damage to fragile goods. Our pyramid embossed pattern creates an anti-slip surface and are environmentally conscious.

These sheets are available from 50 microns to 125 microns, and in a range of widths and colours to suit different pallet sizes.

Our EcoExel Layer Sheets not only reduce the risk of damage from goods falling off your pallets, but also protect your goods from water ingress.

Sustainable Shrink Film Solution for a Large Bottling Company

By switching to Aintree Plastics' EcoExel film, the large bottling company achieved their goals of maintaining high-quality standards, supporting environmental sustainability, and avoiding PPT costs. The ongoing collaboration aims to further enhance the film's PCW content, reinforcing the company’s commitment to eco-friendly practices.

The Problem

A large bottling company required collation shrink film and needed a BRC accredited supplier. With the introduction of the Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT), their current BRC supplier insisted that the film had to be 100% virgin material to ensure proper shrinking, which posed a problem for the company’s sustainability goals.

The Solution

Aintree Plastics proposed our EcoExel shrink film, leveraging their manufacturing consistency and high-quality suppliers of post-consumer waste (PCW). As no direct contact with food, the EcoExel film was compliant, while containing 30% reclaimed material. The film quality met the shrinking requirements and was exempt from the PPT.
